Understanding MOT Results
Since May 2018, MOT faults are classified into three major categories. Knowing these helps you decide how urgent your repairs are.
1. Minor MOT Faults
No immediate safety risk, but should be repaired soon.
2. Major MOT Faults
Serious defects that pose a safety risk. Leads to failure.
3. Dangerous MOT Faults
Immediate risk to safety. Do not drive until repaired.

When is my MOT due?
MOT is required for vehicles over 3 years old. You can check your history using our lookup tool with just your registration number.
How can you book an MOT?
Simply enter your registration number in our booking card and choose a slot that suits you.
Do you get a grace period for MOT?
No. Once your certificate expires, it is illegal to drive except to a pre-booked MOT appointment.
